Background
Stephen Koenig was a German living in Russia and he was married to a Marion Freischaver. He was born about 1860 and they were married about 1880.
Children
Stephen and Marion had four or five children. We know there was John, Madeleine, Anne Marie and Elizabeth. There is a possibility, not confirmed, that there was one other son.

Immigration
Although Stephen and Marion Koenig never left Russia, most of their children did. John Koenig married Elizabeth Buz in Russia and they immigrated to Montana and then to Canada. Elizabeth Koenig married Andrew Gette in Russia and they immigrated to North Dakota. Anna Marie Koenig married George Gette in Russia and they immigrated to Argentina and then to Colorado. Madeleine is believed to have stayed in Russia with her parents.
