1975 – The Teheran Bell Belles elect Joanne Vellinga as chairman; Pat
Wilkerson as vice-chairman; Evelyn Bufton, secretary and Barbara Sax,
Treasurer.
November 1975 – During off-hours, Jerry A. Griffin, a professional archaelogist who works for BHI in the Esfahan Audiovisual unit, prowls the ruins around Esfahan gathering historical data. A mosque and well located with an hours drive of Esfahan and still in use date to the early fourteenth century. November 13, 1975 – The BHI Ski Club meets at The Cobra House and holds a ski swap. Rod Hoffman is elected club president; Jerry Malin, First Vice President; Chuck Hare, Second Vice President; Linda Robey, Secretary; and Don Kreshtool, Treasurer. Teheran club members offer to make their homes available to Esfahan club members during the ski season. |

1975 – Textron Chairman William Miller visits Teheran with BHI Chairman
James F. Atkins. Miller and Atkins are in Iran to submit a
helicopter co-production proposal to the Government of Iran.
December 1975 – It was a long way from the North Pole, but Santa Claus was seen hailing an "orange cab" on the streets of Teheran enroute to the annual BHI Children's Christmas Party. A party was held in Teheran at the Lavizon School campus and in Esfahan at Bell Family Services. December 1975 – The BHI flag football team emerged undefeated for the season and walked away with top honors for 1975 in the ARMISH-MAAG Flag Football League. Coached by Dwayne Nix, Frank Wilson, Robert Behlen and Paul Millender, the team played weekly games in Teheran. Other members of the team included: Jack Parton, J. D. Wilkerson, Ken Johnson, Chuck Streeper, Norm Pauk, Taylor Archer, Stephen Boyles, Dick Gillingham, Matt Ross, Tom Stephen, Dick McCallum, Don Pitts, Art Clifton, Dale Junge, Dave Morgan and Robert Dickerson. |

1976 – Iran Medical Handbook is published and distributed to all
BHI employees. The handbook provides medical information compiled by
BHI Dr. Dean Howell Johnson.
January 1976 – Bell Operations Corporation (BOC) joins BHI in Iran. C. R. Rudning, BOC President, cuts the ribbton for the new BOC office located on the fourth floor of BHI Iran Headquarters building on Avenue Saba in Teheran. Participating in the ribbon cutting ceremony in addition to Rudning are Manny Atkins, BOC Vice President-Facilities and Henry C. Smyth, BOC Director of Personnel-Operations. BHI personnel transferring to BOC include Harry Shedden, John Murphey and Harry O. Davis. |

14, 1976 – The Shahanshah of Iran, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, visits the
IIAA Training Center in Esfahan. His entourage includes Prince
Gholam Reza, General Oversi and Major General Khosrowdad. The
Shahanshah is presented a bouquet of red carnations by Michelle klump,
daughter of Emmett Klump, operations specialist for the Technical Training
Department.
February 1976 – Life In Iran is published and distributed to all BHI employees. The book provides a history of Iran, BHI and provides information about transportation, housing, shopping, communications, religions in Iran, medical facilities, schools and recreational facilities. It is also distributed to all newly hired BHI employees. |
